RSS feeds Portugal Telecom offers a new service for investors: Now financial press releases, financial calendar and news are available as RSS newsfeeds.
By subscribing to our RSS feeds you will receive news automatically as soon as they are published online.
What are RSS feeds

The service known as RSS, which stands for Really Simple Syndication, uses underlying technology on web sites to publish information in a format known as XML (Extensible Markup Language).

Surfing for interesting information on the Web can take some effort if one visits many different websites. Newsfeeds are an easy, automated way to receive up-to-date information without sharing your e-mail address or increasing your volume of e-mail. It also reduces the number of times you have to visit a site, just to check for updates. With RSS you can make your daily search for information easier combining news from different websites. However, it must be provided in RSS format. Find here a downloadable RSS aggregator.

To understand information in the XML, subscribers need to use a news reader. Examples of news readers include Bloglines, Google Reader and My Yahoo. Modern web browsers such as Internet Explorer 7+, Firefox and Safari all have built in features to identify and subscribe to RSS-feeds.
