PT Corporate tests Openscape solution

PT Corporate is going to be the pilot company in Portugal to adopt the Siemens HiPath OpenScape solution, which allows communication in real time from various technological supports.
Presented on 11th April at the Cultural Centre of Belém, this agreement renders available a series of communications solutions for the corporate market based on presence, co-operation solutions, web conference, video and teleconference.
The platform which will be tested by PT Corporate is called "Microsoft Office Live Communications Server 2005". It is a corporate and interactive platform of Instant Messaging of Microsoft, which improves the efficiency of corporate activity allowing workers in the area of information to locate and communicate with people in real time via a safe environment of corporate level integrated in Microsoft Office System.
"Siemens HiPath OpenScape" is the complete co-operation and mobility solution which integrates with "Live Communications Server 2005". OpenScape improves the efficiency of corporate communications and offers its co-operators control of devices and the presence of the user in a transversal manner to the various means of communications, such as, Instant Messaging, e-mail, business telephone, mobile phone or home phone.
João Picoito, CEO of Siemens and Wolfgang Ebermann, responsible for Microsoft were the speakers at a presentation where Carlos Alves Duarte, responsible for PT Corporate also spoke. Following a brief presentation of PT Corporate, Carlos Alves Duarte showed pride in integrating this partnership with two large international companies - Microsoft and Siemens. "We are always interested in improving our capacities, our efficiency and our productivity. In addition, and bearing in mind our vocation to render available and operate solutions which will contribute towards the improvement of business processes and success of our Clients, nothing could be better than we, ourselves being the pilot of the implementation ", added the PT Corporate CEO.
Acording to Carlos Alves Duarte, this pilot Project will last three months and centres on 60 to 80 co-operators in the commercial area. He also added that "with this solution there will be an increase in productivity and efficiency of co-operators, in communication carried out anytime, anywhere".
