The Portuguese Health Care Group purchased from Portugal Telecom the implementation of a Health Care Information System which will be set up in its eight hospitals.
This is the first project of such a large capacity in the Information System area for the Health Care sector that will be implemented by the PT Group. The solution is based on the Business One Solutions – ERP (Entrepise Resources Planning) of SAP and for the offering of Health Care services from the Trakcare solution, a HIS - Hospital Information System solution from TrakHealth
The solution foresees the supply of consulting services for the implementation project of global solutions designated by Health Care Information Systems (SICS - Sistema de Informação de Cuidados de Saúde), which will provide the management of the Health Care sector and a unique and uniform Administrative and Financial Management of the Holding and of the eight Health Care units of the Portuguese Health Care Group: São Francisco Hospital, Lótus de Cascais Clinic, British Hospital Lisbon XXI, British Hospital Campo Ourique, St. Maria Hospital (Porto), St. Louis Hospital, Microcular Clinic and Lótus Clínica in Braga.
The Health Care Information System will be made up of two sub-systems: Production Management of Health Care (GPCS - Gestão de Produção de Cuidados de Saúde) and Administrative and Financial Management (ERP). The first one will be based on the Trakecare product from TrakHealth, and the second will be based on the SAP Business One from SAP.
The Production Management of Health Care sub-system will consist of the following modules: Management of Patients, Clinical Management, Imagiology, Management of Collection Posts, Pharmacy and Stock Management and Billing. The ERP sub-system will include Financial Accounting, Sales, Purchasing, Logistics and Services, Payroll, Control and Report modules.
