The change in these prices took place on the 7th of March 2005, and PT Comunicações now intends to lower communication prices destined to mobile networks every 3 months, due to obligations established by Anacom for Mobile Operators, for reducing its termination prices (network interconnections) with the corresponding declaration for the Significant Market Power of this market.
With these prices, making a call to any other network from a fixed PT telephone is cheaper than calling from a mobile telephone.
As an example, a 2 minute call to other networks will cost the following:
Vodafone (Vitamina 91) will cost 1 Euro
Optimus (Boomerang Five) will cost 0,98 Euros
TMN (Mimo) will cost 0,80 Euros
In the economical timetable, the same 2 minute call originating from the PT network to Vodafone and TMN will cost 0,42 Euros.
