Wednesday, November 16, 2005

The USO clients can already charge their cards at the Payshop network and Post Office. This way, there are over 3 200 new posts to charge cards, throughout the country with convenient schedules and no queues and in places where no other payment system is able to get there.

For PayShop, this association to UZO, will allow it to reinforce its presence in the market of card charging. PayShop is today responsible for over 2 million monthly chargings. Alone, PayShop manages a fifth of all the places in Portugal where one can charge a mobile phone.
UZO equipments and cards, can also be acquired at the Post Office. The network of Post Office stores has been used by UZO since the launch as one of the main distribution channels. The same happens now with the network of PayShop agents.

PayShop is a company specialised in electronic collection which belongs to the CTT Coreios de Portugal Group.  In Portugal it is the only company which is 100% focused on electronic payment systems. Via its national network of agents it allows the consumer to pay at stores near work or home without any difficulties and during extended schedules. It is easy, there is no need for bank cards, registers or to supply data or codes. It is secure, easy and quick. In 2005,  PayShop wishes to register  27 million transactions, totalling around Euro 400 million.

UZO was created as an uncomplicated mobile service that would satisfy the needs of those who don’t want to pay services they do not use, to be stuck to long-term contracts, to worry about complex price lists or to be obliged to charge his/her mobile. It is for all those who like simple, practical and economical things.  It already has 130.000 clients.
