PT Comunicações has launched a new SAPO ADSL price list, bearing in mind less frequent Internet users. It is basically a pre-paid without obligatory chargings, in which the user only pays for the time he surfs and has total control of costs. The user just has to update the balance when necessary with ATM chargings from Euro 15.

José Brito, product and price manager at PT Comunicações |
As José Brito, product and price manager at PT Comunicações underlined toady at the presentation to the press, “the objective is to allow access to the information society in Portugal. With Sapo ADSL Free there is no reason for not having access to broadband Internet.”
The availability of this service is immediate and the publicity campaign will begin next Saturday, 25th February, with the characteristic style of Sapo: “Do you want to have fun without commitments?” “A big bet – is the first campaign of Sapo in 2006”, explained Carla Marques, Marketing manager of Sapo.
PT Comunicações’ expectations are all directed towards potential Internet users and towards the approximately 200 thousand current dial up clients. Pertaining to this access, Sapo ADSL Free offers the advantage of access speed 5x quicker (256k) thus leading to shorter connection time and less costs. Future Sapo Free clients will also have access to exclusive contents of http://xl.sapo.pt/, which is not possible via the dial up access.
