Netcabo and TMN launch Push mail for individuals
Friday, May 26, 2006
Today Netcabo, TMN and Microsoft presented the launch of a new e-mail service –Push mail Microsoft, for Netcabo clients. This service was conceived for users who need to access electronic mail from any place

Push mail Microsoft was presented at the TMN head-office.  José Carlos Baldino, member of the Board of TMN; César Vistas, from the TV Cabo Internet marketing department; Eduardo Cláudio, manager of data business and contents at TMN and Pedro Chaves, from the Windows Mobile area at Microsoft were all present at this conference to present the advantages of this service.

Push mail affords the client an added value as it renders available Microsoft Outlook functions (e-mail. List of contacts and tasks) on mobiles in real time and whilst on the move. Netcabo clients have various applications available (such as Excel charts, text in Word and Internet Explorer), as if they were on their computer although the service is rendered via a mobile terminal.

“There is a set of functions that in the past were only available to big companies but now can be accessed by individuals”, states Pedro Chaves, who made a brief demonstration of this service. This way those who have a Netcabo account can access the push mail service.
As highlighted by César Vistas, Netcabo is now “the first ISP (Internet Service Provider) in Portugal to launch this function for individual clients and as mobility is an essential feature nowadays we did everything within reach to meet our clients’ needs”. This is a way of continuing with innovation and launching new services for our clients.

According to Eduardo Cláudio, from TMN, “this service started within the corporate market but our concern is to expand it to a larger number of clients. We began to study possibilities of launching this service in the consumer market and then this possibility arose and with Netcabo it was very easy”.

Push mail will be available via Qtek S200. However, until the end of the year it can be accessed via new models, integrating a range of solutions presented to clients. Following the launch, Netcabo clients can adhere to the special campaign through which they can acquire the TMN Otek 200 terminal for Euro 449.90 at www.netcabo.pt
