TMN reinforces their offer of Smart phones and launches the Samsung i600

TMN has just launched the Samsung i600, the first HSDPA smart phone based on 3.5 generation technology. The largest mobile operator in Portugal therefore reinforces their offer of smart phones and PDAs, a strategy which is reflected in TMN’s Christmas portfolio Keeping in mind those who give privilege to email and Internet access in motion, and tools for executives, TMN exclusively launches the Samsung i600, the first HSDPA smart phone. It is a 3.5 generation equipment which allows internet access up to 1,8 Mbps, it also includes 2 cameras, allows for video calls and also Wi-Fi connections. The i600 also contemplates push mail capacities and the possibility of viewing Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF files and different formats of images s (BMP, JPEG e GIF).  Equipped with the Microsoft Windows mobile 5.0 operative system, this first HSDPA smart phone foresees the use of Office Outlook tools such as the calendar, contacts and tasks. The new model also consolidates design with advanced functions.

Focusing on the executive and professional market, segments in which TMN is also market leader, the exclusive Samsung i600, which combines mobile telephone functions with PDA enriches the wide offer of PDA’s which TMN has available:
Qtek S200, the HTC Trinity, HTC TyTN, the Nokia 61 and the Sony-Ericsson M600i. These are models which stand out mainly to those who give value to internet and email access while in motion, as well as the availability of tools for executives with an interface based on a Qwerty keyboard or touch screen.

It should also be mentioned that TMN has TMN mail, a tariff which, for a monthly subscription of €15,73, allows clients to Access, with no fuss and with total mobility from their mobile telephone, the Internet, their professional email and their Sapo, Netcabo, Telepac and PT Prime email, as well as other functions which provide email Access on mobile terminals.

With this offer, TMN consolidates its efforts in the 3.5 generation, based on the HSDPA technology, and continues to maintain the front line in efforts on mobile telephones which permit advanced services while reinforcing the highlighted leadership position.
