TMN delivers computers in Setúbal

Having passed one month after the e-opportunities trainees receiving the first 400 computers, TMN once again distributed, this time at the Setúbal Professional Training Centre, more portables with broad band internet access
The e-school program, an initiative from the Government, one taken on by TMN from the start. This is an ambitious project for an operator who promises to deliver 300 thousand portable computers over the next three years, in the different areas of the program: e-school, e-teacher, e-opportunities.
The Prime Minister José Sócrates and Zeinal Bava, Chairman of TMN, were presents in Setúbal in yet another initiative of the e-school program inserted in the National Technological Plan
Aimed towards 10th grade students, primary and secondary teachers and workers undergoing training in the New Opportunities program, this project hopes to allow more than half a million Portuguese people to have access to portable computers and broad band internet at reduced prices. Therefore, this is a clear measure in the direction of fighting info-exclusion and illiteracy.
TMN, the first operator to answer to this initiative and provide the country with a concrete offer, delivered, last month, the first approximately 400 computers. This Saturday, TMN was present at the Setúbal Professional Training Centre where it provided more computers, of the Fujitsu Siemens brand, model AMILO PRO V3515, and USB 3,6 Mb broad band cards to trainees of the e-opportunities program.
The TMN site at http://www.tmn.pt/, and the Government site, at http://www.eescola.net/, continue to be open to students’ teachers and trainees who want to enrol and apply for a computer with broad band access for only 150 euros. A very advantageous price if we keep in mind their commercial value which is close to 800 euros.
The mobile communications leader in Portugal therefore keeps itself on the front line by contributing to the development of the Portuguese people in the domain of new technologies.
