Saturday, March 10, 2007
To control and manage the car fleet is now easier with Frotalink. This is a service launched by TMN in partnership with PT Inovação, in April 2001, that was optimised and presents new functions, allowing companies to locate, accompany and control their mobile resources in a more effective manner
TMN presents a new version of Frotalink. A more secure version with new functions that allows companies to control and manage in an effective manner their car fleets.
The new aspects presented consist in the introduction of new tools to visualise maps and functional shortcuts that render flexible the use of menus and allow to associate services to cars and collaborators. Highlight also goes to the tools for location search resorting to a server of European digital cartography.
Frotalink allows via GPS positioning or alternative cellular localisation to locate, accompany and control a large variety of mobile resources – cars, mobile phones, PDAs, containers, amongst others. TMN’s Fotalink affords the companies a modern and economic way of managing their mobile units.
The way the system functions depends on the setting up in each of the mobile resources to be monitored, of equipment which based on a GPS and on TMN data mobile services automatically communicates or request information as to the activity. The mobile resources and the base system are continuously connected allowing to manage and accompany all steps in real time.
There is also a capacity to integrate with third party systems, meeting the needs shown by companies in sharing information generated through own systems. In the same manner in the cars the GPS/GPRS integrated unit can also be used as a support to communicate data generated by third part systems.
Frotalink is in constant evolution and since it was launched is has been subject to updates thus becoming the most versatile integrated management solution for fleets on the market.
