Beach Live TV for surfers

As of now surfers, bodyboarders and practitioners of other sea-related activities will have an innovative, simple and effective service at their disposal that will allow them to view the weather and wave conditions, fully on the move. Via TMN’s new Beach Live TV, surfers can watch live videos of Portuguese beaches most visited by that community
TMN responds to the needs of practitioners of sea-related sports activities and launches Beach Live TV. TMN’s new service allows the viewing of sea conditions on the mobile phone, anytime anyplace, by means of videos from Portuguese beaches most favoured by these sportsmen. As of now it will be possible to view the weather and wave conditions live both comfortably and on the move.
In the launch phase, eight beaches will be available on the mobile phones of TMN customers, a number that will increase throughout the year:
• Barra – Aveiro
• Ribeira D’Ilhas – Ericeira
• Carcavelos Beach– Carcavelos
• Praia Grande – Sintra
• Baleal – Peniche
• Super Tubos – Peniche
• Monte Clérigo – Aljezur
• São Torpes – Sines
Access to TMN's new service is via tmn i9 portal, being then necessary to select the video
area, next Beach Live TV, and finally the relevant beach. Afterwards, the video runs live on the display of the mobile phone. The service costs 0.25 Euro per video viewed.
This new service is a consequence of TMN's bet on sports and on surfers. It should be remembered that this telecoms operator is a major supporter of surf and surfers in Portugal, by means of several initiatives, such as the sponsorship to the best Portuguese surfer ever, Tiago “Saca” Pires, and to a dozen more top practitioners, the promotion throughout the year of several surf camps, the organisation of the TMN Saca Tour in cooperation with the National Surfers’ Association, and the support of several championships in Portugal.
