During the first week of December, the mobile phone with the best screen on the market (HTC Touch HD) will arrive in Portugal. Elegant, with a user-oriented design, a new audiovisual dimension and perfect for multimedia entertainment lovers, the new terminal features a 3.8” display, a standard 3.5 mm audio connector and a 5-megapixel auto-focus camera.

The new top-end model was presented on 20 November at Pestana Palace Hotel (Lisbon) and is a TMN exclusive. “The crown jewel of our Christmas campaign” stated Luís Avelar, Board Member, PT, about this device.

This Board Member further explained that there is “a bigger demand for this type of terminals. (…) This market has been increasing”. Our expectations are that the market may become bigger with the launch of new HTC Touch HD.

New HTC Touch HD in the hands of António Muñoz

According to António Muñoz from HTC, this device affords “a better mobile Internet experience”. This product manager presented the terminal features and stressed that “this is a different experience from what we have seen so far”.

For Pedro Abad, manager for Spain and Portugal, HTC, “innovation is the main message that his company wishes to convey. “What is the next step? Ours is very simple. To make it happen”, based on mobility, integration and convergence.

This “is an instrument of communication with the world”, said Luís Avelar. With this launch, TMN consolidates its leadership in the smartphone offering in Portugal and reinforces its offering by targeting those who always want to have their office in their pocket, combining productivity tools, such as advanced email solutions, internet access and file edition to leisure and entertainment functions such as storage and reproduction of music, video, TV, games, among others.

The HTC Touch HD will be sold in TMN’s Special Edition packages with special discounts. Outside these packages, the mobile phone will cost circa 579 Euro.
