Jukebox, Meo’s new music channel

Meo, in partnership with Telefónica, launches Jukebox, another innovative service, a 12 audio channel package organized by music themes that will meet Meo’s customers’ most diversified taste
Jukebox is the new service available within Meo, developed by Onda Musical, a Telefónica Group company. This innovative service consists of a package of 12 thematic audio channels, capable of meeting the most diversified tastes.
From Portuguese to Classical music, including the Brazilian rhythms and Romantic music, from Pop Rock to Hip Hop, without forgetting Disco House and Jazz&Blues, Meo customers can still relax at the end of the day to the sound of music in their home environment or entertain the little ones with the best music selection for children.
The new audio channels are to be found in the Playlist theme, in positions 260 through 271. Every Meo customer will be able to enjoy this new set of channels throughout March for free, playing music of every kind for every taste and age. As of April these channels will constitute a Premium package that each customer can subscribe.
The Jukebox Mix channel will be provided in Meo’s basic offer, in position 399, presenting and promoting all the thematic audio channels of the Jukebox package.
Meo initiated its activity in June of 2007, and is present today in every district of continental Portugal, with an offer exceeding 100 channels. It is the only subscription television platform that allows High-Definition contents and that provides to all customers a set-up-box with PVR (Personal Vídeo Recorder) allowing program recording and emission stopping in direct. It contains also a VideoClub with over 1,000 films and 50 premieres every month.
Meo is Portugal Telecom’s bet in a different and innovative television experience, allowing customers to manage the contents that they want to see, in a simple and effortless way, breaking with the linearity and rigidity of the current programming of subscription television.
