MEO Satellite in Madeira and in the Azores

With MEO Satellite, the television of the future has also arrived in Madeira and in the Azores. Starting from Euro 9.16, the inhabitants of these islands can access PT’s television service and their monthly fees will be waived until August of 2008 for adhesions up to the end of June
Even Curral das Freiras, in Madeira, and Biscoitos, in the Azores, can access the television of the future. With MEO Satellite “every location, no matter how small it is, can have high definition TV”, even in the autonomous regions. Starting from Euro 9.6 euros, the inhabitants of the islands can enjoy PT’s television service. For adhesions up to 30 June, PT waives the monthly fees up to 31 August 2008.
Customers will have the opportunity of accessing the channels of the television of the future with the best contents in terms of entertainment, sports, kids, films and series, documentaries, music and information.
To promote the service on the islands of Madeira and the Azores, PT launches on 15 May two advertising campaigns especially directed to the inhabitants of the islands.
The advertising campaign, directed to Madeira, foresees press and radio advertisements starting on 15 May. The launch on TV will happen on 16 May and on billboards between 21 and 27 May.
As to the Azores, the campaign also kicks off on 15 May on press and radio, the following day on TV and between 25 and 31 of May in a network of billboards.
