PT-SI solution implemented at IKEA store in Matosinhos

IKEA chose a PT Sistemas de Infomação solution to implement at its store in Matosinhos. The solution consists of a system of Queues responsible for the reception at the Customer Services


The PT-Sistemas de Informação (PT-SI) Interactive Agency via PT Prime and in partnership with Newvision implemented in the IKEA store in Matosinhos the system Queues responsible for the reception at the Customer Services, including Information, Changes and Returns, Deliveries and Transport; as well as the innovative reception system in the Bedrooms and Kitchens area.

Following a long period of negotiations, competing with another two suppliers that presented a Swedish solution implemented worldwide in most IKEA stores, the Matosinhos store chose the PT-SI solution betting on innovation and evolution potential, namely in terms of integration with a future Corporate TV channel (IKEA tv).

But the development proposed and implemented in the IKEA store of Matosinhos was much more than a simple Customer Assistance / Queues. A workflow of procedures for the delivery of merchandise, logistics collection of the latter and the delivery of the merchandise to the client.

According to Sónia Correia, responsible for Customer Service, “the client uses with greater quality the services, reducing, for instance the perception of the time they have to wait. On the other hand, the solution implemented constitutes a work tool that has allowed IKEA to control assistance time”.

According to Ricardo Pinheiro, Manager of the IKEA Store in Matosinhos,  “the bet on a Queue solution tailor-made to the needs of IKEA, constitutes yet another step towards efficiency and precision. The choice of PT-SI as our partner was based on the guarantee of service quality and the capacity that this solution allows, for instance, in an integration with a future corporate television channel”.
