TMN customers pay less for calls
Wednesday, June 04, 2008
TMN has launched three new mobile voice tariffs and has changed ‘casa t fixo' tariffing, which is now billed per second, after the first minute. In July, VAT reduction from 21% to 20% will be reflected on the final cost of calls.

After an analysis of its customers’ consumption profile, TMN has launched three new mobile voice tariffs and has changed ‘casa t fixo' tariffing. As the result of ICP-ANACOM’s determination, dated 2 May 2008, on the application of point q) of article 8 of Decree Law no. 57/2008, of 26 March, TMN provides thus its customers with a new set of options.

As of 3 June, TMN’s offer started to include three new mobile voice tariffs:

  • ‘Plano pré-pago ao segundo’ (Prepay plan per second) and ‘plano pós-pago ao segundo’ (Postpay plan per second), feature per second billing, after an initial of 10-second period;

  • ‘Plano leve pré-pago’ (`Light prepay plan) does not require obligatory top-ups and features per second billing after an initial 30-second period.

As of the same date, ‘casa t fixo' tariffs, billed up to now in 10-second increments after the first minute, will start being billed per second after the first minute.

Next 1 July, as the new VAT tax comes into force (from 21% to 20%), TMN customers will have a cost reduction in their calls.
