After having been chosen by Microsoft for the exclusive launch in Portugal of the first Windows® Phone Smartphones, TMN demonstrates its pioneer spirit once again and, in association with Sony Ericson, launches the first mobile phone in the world that with access capability to content hosted within PlayStation®3.
According to Luís Avelar, TMN is committed to “seeking ways to propose different offers”. The AINO “is much more than a mobile phone” and displays an “interesting and unbeatable value proposition”. This Board Member from PT confesses that the Sony Ericsson AINO represents “one of Christmas’s great novelties”.
According to Magnus Ahlquist, general-director of Sony Ericsson for Ibéria, this is “an important launch”. He stresses that the company wants to become the “leader in terms of communication and entertainment” and that through this partnership with TMN steps are being taken to “deliver an enhanced consumer experience”.

This TMN exclusive – Sony Ericsson AINO – was presented today, 10 November, during a press conference at Fórum Telecom in Lisbon, comprising a demonstration of the new device and of its interaction with Playstation.
Passport for an entertainment experience in mobility
The new AINO transports the best entertainment experiences to the mobility world. The user may remotely access and control content hosted within the PlayStation®3, anyplace anywhere. Therefore, he will just need to use the Remote Play functionality that synchronises the PlayStation with the TV set and mobile phone, enabling access to photos, playlists, movie trailers, and to other content via the Sony Ericsson AINO.
This TMN exclusive distinguishes itself for targeting the access to social networks such as Facebook, multimedia search engines such as YouTube, and 3D and motion games, inviting users to live a unique experience of entertainment in mobility.
It also includes Media Home, an application that allows the automatic download of the content of MediaGo to the PC via WiFi, enabling to synchronise the content stored on the mobile phone with the content stored on the PC – this is another feature of the Sony Ericsson AINO.
The Touch UI – a 16M colour, 3-inch display – for movie watching with high quality and enhanced autonomy, GPS and 8.1 Mpx photo camera with digital zoom up to 16x, flash, video recorder, auto-focus and video recorder are functionalities of this device. Targeting a differentiating audio experience, this model is sold together with stereo and MH100 bluetooth headphones, showing different features in terms of music: clear bass, clear stereo, touch-screen media player, music tones, among others.
The Media Campaign
“Entertainment is out on the streets. With new Sony Ericsson AINO, jump into your PlayStation3 and get connected to your music, your photos, your movies, anyplace!” The launch of the Sony Ericsson AINO is followed by a strong multimedia campaign, which, according to Luís Avelar, will start soon. Apart from disclosing the new functionalities of the new TMN exclusive, the media campaign also presents Sony Ericsson’s new image.
TMN offers this mobile phone in a package for €499.90 that includes the Sony Ericsson AINO, a PlayStation®3, and game Little Big Planet. This package will be available in TMN or FNAC stores. Customers already possessing a PlayStation®3 or wishing to acquire just the new Sony Ericsson AINO may do so for €399.90.
For Sony Ericsson AINO purchasers, TMN offers 50% discount on any Internet tariff during a three month period.
