This is the first time that Portugal Telecom is positioned among the 500 most valuable brands in the world. PT occupies position 472 in the ranking prepared by BrandFinance, whose value amounts to Euro 1,049 thousand million.
According to the consultancy, the value of the PT brand equates to 8% of the overall enterprise value (estimated at Euro 12.6 million), attaining an ‘A’ rating, which means a strong brand considering factors such as brand risk, strength and potential as compared to its competitors.
Portugal Telecom’s presence among the most valuable brands in the world demonstrates the value of its brand both at home and its strong international presence.
There are only two Portuguese brands among the 500 most valuable brands of the world: Portugal Telecom at position 472 and Caixa Geral de Depósitos at position 492.
