Portugal Telecom announced today, November 17th, its results for the first nine months of 2009. During this period, consolidated operating revenues amounted to Euro 4,973 million, while EBITDA reached Euro 1,854million, a decrease of 1.0% and 0.7% y.o.y respectively.

Income from operations reached Euro 769 million until 30 September 2009, and net income amounted to Euro 372 million.

Capex increased to Euro 813 million, compared to Euro 691 million in the first nine months of 2008, an increase of 17.7% y.o.y, as a result of the investments in the rollout of the fibre network and TV service in Portugal and the investments in 3G and 3.5G in Brazil

Operating cash flow decreased to Euro 810 million, compared to Euro 1,031 million over the same period of 2008.
