Sapo ADSL and TMN elected ‘Trusted Brands 2009’

Brands Sapo ADSL and TMN have been elected ‘Trusted Brands’ in 2009 once again, in the Internet and Mobile Operator categories, respectively. This selection was made by the Portuguese and is the result of the ‘Trusted Brands in Europe 2009’ survey, promoted by the Reader’s Digest Selections that evaluates the levels of trust of European consumers


‘It’s definitely Portuguese for Internet’. Apart from being a 100% Portuguese brand, pioneer in terms of Internet in Portugal, Sapo ADSL was considered a ‘Trusted Brand’ for the ninth consecutive year, in the Internet category.

According to the results from the ‘Trusted Brands in Europe 2009’ survey, the Portuguese trust the Sapo brand. In order to mark this selection, Sapo will launch a campaign to thank all the Portuguese. ‘When the Portuguese think about Internet, it’s Sapo that comes to their minds; Sapo also thinks first about the Portuguese, in everything that it does. Therefore, from a Portuguese to another Portuguese, thanks, mate!’

TMN is also included in the list of trusted brands, in the mobile operator category.

The survey, developed by the Readers’ Digest Selections, is considered the most comprehensive one in terms of brand analysis, attitudes and values that rule the life of the Europeans. In its ninth year, it evaluated the levels of trust in 37 product categories, from mobile operators to banks, fuel companies, coffee brands, Internet services and TV channels. The ‘Trusted Brands in Europe 2009’ report surveyed more than 23,000 consumers from 16 European countries.
