Facebook on TMN mobiles

TMN has just launched an innovative service that enables its customers to update their Facebook account by sending SMS and MMS messages.

New TMN Facebook service has been launched, an innovative service enabling its customers, Facebook users, to update their account easily, swiftly and with full mobility. Just by sending an SMS or MMS message, TMN customers will be able to publish personal content (photos, videos) and update their status anytime anywhere. Another service component is the exclusive installation for the personal homepage of TMN customers from where authorised Facebook friends may send SMS texts.

With this innovative service developed in partnership with Sapo, TMN pursues its strategy of facilitating the access to social networks from a mobile phone, an anticipation to competitors.

To sign up for TMN Facebook, you just need to access webpage http://facebook.tmn.pt and follow the instructions that ultimately will lead to the association of your TMN mobile telephone number to your personal Facebook account.

For an immediate update of the Facebook status anyplace, it is only necessary to send an SMS message to TMN number 3210 containing the desired text, which will cost 5 cents. Customers will need to send an MMS message to the same TMN number 3210 to publish photos or videos contained in their TMN mobile telephone, attaching the desired content and eventual comment, which will cost 10 cents.

Users signing up for TMN Facebook may also receive text messages via SMS sent from their box “Send me an SMS” in their Facebook homepage by previously authorised “Facebook friends”. During service launch, TMN will allow 100 cost-free SMS texts per month sent in this way.
