Signed by director, producer and script-writer James Cameron, Avatar tells the story of Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), a soldier who has lost the capacity to move his leg and the motivation to continue to live until an opportunity to work in mining on planet Pandora comes up. Pandora is an exuberant, hostile place, invaded by air deemed venomous for humans, predatory and dangerous plants and creatures, 3-metre high blue humanoid natives, the Na’avi.
