Wednesday, May 12, 2010
TMN brought Mika to Portugal. The stage of Campo Pequeno Hall was invaded by energy, colour, light, and dancing rhythms for the duration of a concert that delighted his fans.

Committed to exceed the expectations of its customers, TMN keeps promoting countless sensations. This time, it brought to Portugal, in partnership with Música no Coração producers, one of the most awaited personalities of the international music panorama – Mika. The stage of Campo Pequeno Hall was invaded by energy, colour, light, and dancing rhythms for the duration of a concert that delighted his fans.

Trying to deliver the most exclusive and original life experiences to its customers, TMN surprised its Guest List and t Sensations customers once again with Mika concert tickets. The Lebanese singer performed yesterday on the stage of Campo Pequeno Hall in a concert that marked his debut as solo performer in Portugal. It is worth remembering that this show was scheduled for 16 April last, but was postponed due to the effects of the eruption of the Icelandic volcano on air traffic.

TMN customers thought it worth while waiting for the concert because, as Mika fans, they consider him a unique artist who provided them with two unforgettable hours of concert. The concert started when the singer showed up suspended in the air dressed as an astronaut, holding a bag from where, for the duration of the show, the most unexpected things came out. For two hours, an imaginary world was recreated, based on Mexico’s Day of the Dead, inserted in a giant book open on stage. A book full of surprises.

Mika presented  his new studio album ‘The Boy Who Knew Too Much’ and other big hits from his debut album ‘Life in Cartoon Motion’,such as ‘Relax’ (Take It Easy), ‘Grace Kelly’, ‘Love Today’ or ‘Lollipop’. The high moment of the evening was reserved for the song ‘We are Golden’ during which fans surprised the singer by raising hundreds of golden hearts distributed by TMN at the entrance of the concert hall.

Mafalda Torgal, sponsorships and events, TMN, explains that it made all the sense to bring Mika to Portugal because of TMN’s relationship with the singer as the song ‘We are Golden’ was associated with TMN’s campaigns for nearly a year, starting with a summer campaign. “When we had the chance of bringing Mika to Portugal for an exclusive TMN-sponsored concert, we accepted at once. Our idea is to continue to bet on the association with music either in summer festivals, or in concerts such as this one”, explains Mafalda Torgal. Expectations for the concert were high, mainly concerning the surprise prepared by TMN for the song ‘We are Golden’ but the result could not be better. The Campo Pequeno Hall filled itself up with golden hearts to surprise Mika.

At the end of the concert, the Lebanese singer surprised his fans by announcing his return to Portugal for the SW TMN summer festival that will be held from 4 to 8 August in Zambujeira do Mar. Mika will thus join names such as M.I.A. David Guetta, Jamiroquai, Sugababes, Massive Attack or Flaming Lips.

TMN associated itself with Música no Coração Productions once again by providing unforgettable moments and getting closer to the younger public. According to Luís Montez, from Música no Coração Productions, music induces customers’ empathy towards the brand, therefore TMN’s investment in the world of music has shown to be a success as it is an association favoured by the public, most of all the younger generation. “TMN’s relationship with Música no Coração Productions has been working very well. It has been a continuous work, having its high moment in August, during the SWTMN Festival”, explains Luís Montez.

Although concert tickets sold out very fast, TMN gave its Guest List customers the opportunity to attend the concert. They were consequently challenged to join the ‘Guest List TMN – Moche for Mika’ pastime and qualify for 15 double tickets for the concert, in a VIP zone with privileged view over the stage. Rita Lopes, Ana Filipa, Bruna and Irina were but a few of the TMN customers who took on the challenge and messed Mika’s bedroom on the lookout for a direct pass for Campo Pequeno Hall. The expectations of these fans stood high. They deemed the initiative to be an added value as TMN is a young brand that stands close to young people through actions and initiatives that promote culture and keep surprising.

Also t Sensations customers could win tickets for Mika’s concert by exchanging TMN points for concert tickets.
