GSMA Mobile World Congress |
The GSMA Mobile World Congress is the biggest world forum in the mobile telecommunications industry, receiving this year, according to the organisation of the event, 50,000 visitors from every continent.
Just like in similar editions, PT Inovação will participate at the GSMA Mobile World Congress with its own stand dedicated to the global telecommunications market, presenting integrated technological solutions in the domains of IMS (Multimedia IP), Intelligent Networks, Network Infrastructures, Mobile Services, and Operations and Business Support.
At PT Inovação’s stand, highlight will go this year to two Mobile TV demonstrators, where it will be possible to access all functionalities of the application in real-time, including the interaction with the IPTV set top box.
PT Inovação is the technological arm of the Portugal Telecom Group, being positioned among the five biggest and best world suppliers of Intelligent Network technology. Throughout four continents, more than 100 million people communicate supported on PT Inovação’s intelligent network technology.
By invitation from Qualcomm – with which Portugal Telecom has established a partnership for the installation of 3G technology in its Estrela, Girassol and Bola de Neve projects – there are also representatives from the PT Foundation present to demonstrate the solutions implemented in the context of the partnership in favour of people with special communication needs in the scope of these projects.
The presence of the PT Foundation in this world congress demonstrates the recognition by Qualcomm of the merit of the partnership established and of the advantages of the PT/TMN special solutions for citizens with special communication needs. It is also an excellent opportunity to give visibility to Portugal Telecom’s social intervention policy, namely in terms of info-inclusion.
