Under the attentive look of the jury, composed of Tiago Pires, a member of the TMN Dream Team and of surfers João Guedes and Francisca Pereira dos Santos, these youngsters will try to do their best to win their challenge.

This year, the TMN Saca Juniores will head north, enjoying the good waves of the Matosinhos sea. The 16 participants will find strong opponents and start a fierce fight for the first position. The selection of these youngsters is the result of their classification obtained in the Top 8 positions of the under-14 and under-12 rankings of the Qualifying circuit.

This competition aims to promote national surf for the younger generation, enabling them to contact with the best Portuguese surfers. The TMN Saca Juniores is yet another promotional initiative of this discipline in Portugal.

In 2010, TMN will keep betting on surf by supporting the TMN Surf Team, a team composed of surfers of reference in this discipline: Tiago Pires (best Portuguese surfer of all times), Ana Sarmento (latest team addition), Francisca Pereira dos Santos (National Champion Pro Board Junior 2009), João Guedes (National Champion Open 2009) and Vasco Ribeiro (National Surf Champion under-14).

The 4th edition of the TMN Saca Tour is scheduled for next summer, an event that gathers beginners of this discipline with Tiago Pires throughout a whole weekend of intensive surfing. It is worth recollecting that between 2007 and 2009, this initiative gathered circa 500 youngsters aged from 10 to 16 years.

TMN’s support for several national and international surf competitions will continue in 2010, with special emphasis on the sponsorship to the Rip Curl Pro Portugal in the scope of which TMN will be present in one of the 10 events of the ASP World Tour – WT Men and WT Women.

It is worth recollecting that TMN sponsored the Rip Curl Pro Search 2009, the 9th event of the ASP World Tour, held for the first time in Portugal on the beaches of Peniche.
