Established in December of 2003, PT Wi-Fi offers broadband internet service access in public places through the use of Wi-Fi technology. This technology complements all usual internet accesses and allows broadband access with total mobility and speed.

With this, users, from home or the office, gain access with complete accessibility to their electronic mail and their Desktop through the use of a portable computer or a PDA.

PT’s Wi-Fi access offers on-line information and is available at public places such as airports, congress centres, hotels, restaurants, gas stations amongst others, which are thereby complemented by roaming agreements which have been celebrated with known operators worldwide.
In Portugal, the Fnac stores and the Mc Donald’s and Eurest restaurants as well as the CTT Post Offices are examples of some locations in which a company offers its services in partnership with other corporations.
The roaming agreements established with KPN, Télia/Sonera and T-Mobile allow PT Wi-Fi clients to access the internet from thousands of Wi-Fi hotspots around the world.
