One of the most spectacular, historical and well-attended races in motorsports, Rampa da Falperra brings hundreds of thousands of fans of the sport to the city of Braga. And this year was no exception. In the 40th edition, around 120 riders from 15 European countries took part in the legendary competition which, in addition to the national championships also held the European Championship. And with the technology of Altice Portugal, the thousands of spectators enjoyed free WiFi and kept up to date on performances.
In January of this year, Altice Portugal reinforced the technological partnership with this great sporting event (read myaltice news here), in order to guarantee connectivity through the WiFi network, fiber optic infrastructure and reinforcement of the mobile network. From May 10th to 12th, in Braga, state-of-the-art networks were available at the 40th edition of Rampa da Falperra, continuing its strategy of investing in national sport and association with major sports events, modalities and athletes.
"The technological partnership with Rampa da Falperra is in line with the path that Altice Portugal has been pursuing, since, not only, does it allow for the proximity policy we have been developing, but on the other hand, it encourages doing sports as a way of stimulating society and promoting self-esteem. Finally, another strong aspect of our performance is technology, which allows high quality connectivity, accessible to all", says Luís Alveirinho, Chief Technology Officer of Altice Portugal, who was present at the legendary competition.
The 40th edition of Rampa da Falperra had a solidarity component through the "My Dream" Project, an initiative that aims to make the dreams of vulnerable children, young and old and diagnosed with chronic diseases come true, and to which Altice Portugal can not be indifferent. The importance of being close to the country, social solidarity entities and the population in vulnerable situations is the focus for social responsibility activities by Altice Portugal
