The band of Gary Lightbody, Nathan Connolly, Paul Wilson, Jonny Quinn and Tom Simpson bring their latest album, Reworked, to Vila Nova de Gaia. Snow Patrol will present new songs from this album which was released in 2019.
The group, which brings together members from Ireland and Scotland, already has six albums in its repertoire and has sold millions of records around the world, including successes such as "Run", "Chasing Cars", "Open Your Eyes”, “Signal Fire” and “Just Say Yes”.
Formed in the 90s, Snow Patrol achieved worldwide recognition with the song “Chasing Cars” from the platinum album “Eyes Open”, that year's best selling album in the United Kingdom, remaining on the Bilboard 200 for more than 15 weeks. Snow Patrol's success with “Chasing Cars”, was shown in 2019 when PPL announced it was the most played song on 21st century British radio.
Since their debut in 1998 with the album Songs for Polarbears, the band has garnered an impressive number of critical and commercial accolades, including over 17 million global album sales, over 1 billion global track streams, 5 UK Platinum Albums , an Ivor Novello award and Grammy and Mercury Music Prize nominations. The band emerged as musical prophets of the heart in the shadow of grunge style and shallow pop, touching the minds, memories and hearts of listeners. The quintet already has 25 awards and 51 nominations in a career spanning more than 20 years.
