In 2020, Lisbon is the Green Capital of Europe and makes commitments for the future. This commitment includes about 200 entities, including Altice Portugal, which accepted the challenge. João Zúquete, Chief Corporate Office of Altice Portugal, was present at the signing ceremony of the Lisbon European Green Capital 2020 Award, which took place on January 29th.
Altice Portugal signed the Lisbon European Green Capital 2020 Award - Climate Action Lisbon 2030. The initiative promoted by the Lisbon City Hall challenged companies, citizens and all public and private organizations to join this cause, and to give their contribution to the environmental goals established for the city of Lisbon.
As an environmentally responsible company, Altice Portugal responded positively to this challenge. On behalf of the company, João Zúquete da Silva, Chief Corporate Officer of Altice Portugal, signed the agreement, through which Altice Portugal undertakes to carry out a set of sustainability initiatives, in areas as diverse as citizenship and participation, energy and the circular economy.
Among the initiatives to be promoted by Altice Portugal are actions to raise awareness and disseminate information about Green Capital by employees and partners, the organization of events and conferences, the reuse of equipment and the increase in the use of renewable energy sources.
