In an edition marked by the creativity and disruption of the dozens of campaigns that this year took home more than 30 awards from this edition of the SAPO Awards, the Awards themselves also reinvented themselves, bringing together agencies, advertisers, musicians and the general public for all of us together to celebrate the creativity, talent and innovation of digital advertising on our screens at home.
Out of a total of 135 entries submitted this year, subsequently reduced by the First Jury to just 56 nominated campaigns, more than 30 awards were presented at the 19th SAPO Awards, which this year highlighted, among others:
- Creative Agency of the Year – Reprise Digital
- Media Agency of the Year – Initiative
- Advertiser of the Year – Unilever FIMA
- Campaign of the Year – “Somersby – Porta dos Fundos”

In a special edition that featured a presentation from João Manzarra and the performance of musician Dino D'Santiago and DJ Moullinex, awards were given in the categories of Sectorial Awards (Creativity and Media), Strategy Awards, Awards for Special Formats, Digital Media Awards and Jury Awards.
There were about 30 professionals from the world of advertising, marketing and communication who made up the three different groups of judges responsible for deciding the winners, the First Jury, responsible for reducing the list of campaigns entered in the various categories, the second Jury, in charge of awarding the prizes and, finally, the Digital Media Jury, responsible for choosing the winners in the Digital Media Awards category [Full list at: https://premios.sapo.pt/juri].
Keeping the already historic tradition, a donation of 11,700 euros was also given to the Associação Padre Amadeu Pinto, an institution in Pragal that supports young people and children in disadvantaged socio-economic contexts. Since it began, SAPO has already donated the amount of 197 thousand euros to charitable institutions.
In the year that the SAPO Awards celebrate their 20th anniversary, this edition is marked by the creativity, disruption and innovation of all of the campaigns, which show the best that is done in Portugal in the context of online advertising. There have now beenmore than 1000 trophies awarded, which recognize the talent of Portuguese agencies and advertisers.
