Angie McMahon is an Australian singer and songwriter from Melbourne, Victoria.
Before starting a solo career, she accompanied a soul band called “The Fabric". Throughout her solo career, she was recognized by the public and won a Telstra competition in 2013, which allowed her to perform at the opening of the Bon Jovi concert, during the “Why We Can” tour, in Australia. In 2017, McMahon won the Josh Pyke Partnership by releasing her first single "Slow Mover" in the same year. Since then, she has released the singles "Missing Me", "Keeping Time", a cover of Neil Young's "Helpless", "Pasta" and "And I am a Woman".
McMahon released her first studio album Salt in July 2019, which reached 5th place in the ARIA ranking, with an extended version of a live show being released in September of the same year.
In October 2019, Happy Mag labeled her as "one of the most loving and talented voices in music today", placing her at number 15 on the list "The 15 Australian female artists changing the game right now".
On October 3rd, 2019, McMahon released a cover of "Take It With Me" by Tom Waits; the lead single from a singer's tribute album, entitled "Come On Up to the House: Women Sing Waits". In November 2019, McMahon also released a cover of Fleetwood Mac's song, "Silver Springs".
In February of this year, McMahon released a cover version of ABBA's "Knowing Me, Knowing You" as part of Triple J's Like a Version.
ANGIE MCMAHON debuts in Portugal on the 19th of July at MEO Marés Vivas, in a concert that promises to touch everyone.
