Miguel Araújo is the new confirmation for the MEO stage of Marés Vivas for the 18th of July.
Miguel Araújo is one of the most complete artists of the new generation. Today he is considered one of the great names of Portuguese music, standing out as a composer, lyricist, singer and musician, being successful in each of these aspects that make up his multifaceted and eclectic career. He already has a lot of songs, sung by himself and by other artists (OS AZEITONAS, of which he is a part; António Zambujo, Ana Moura, Carminho) that are part of the collection of the great Portuguese popular songs of this century.
The artist, born in Maia, is the author (music and lyrics) of some of the greatest Portuguese hits of the beginning of this century: "Anda comigo ver os aviões" (“Come with me to see the planes"), “Os maridos das outras" (“The husbands of others”), “Quem és tu miúda" (“Who are you”), “Pica do Sete", “Balada Astral", among many others.
In addition to his solo repertoire and the band OS AZEITONAS, of which he is a founder and in which he remained until the end of 2016, he has written for some of the most outstanding Portuguese artists, such as António Zambujo, Ana Moura, Carminho, Raquel Tavares and Ana Bacalhau.
His concert at Coliseu do Porto in 2014 was one of the most memorable of the singer's career, which, in the previous year, had premiered on the same stage with OS AZEITONAS.
Three years after being received by the public at MEO Marés Vivas, he takes the MEO stage again on July 18th, promising to give a great concert.
